Rescue 5 Project

The project is complete! Almost a year from initial concept to final completion, Rescue 5 has replaced Rescue 1 as our primary technical rescue response vehicle. Rescue 5 is a 2004 Ford F-550 diesel 4x4 chassis with a custom-built Westates rescue box. The major box structure was installed on the rails by Westates, but all finishing jobs were done in-house by the BCSAR team. This allowed us to customize the vehicle to our exact needs, build team comradery, and save the unit money. A huge thanks goes out to those in the community that donated towards the new rescue vehicle, we could not have done it without your help!
