The Butte County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team has launched a Capital Campaign to raise funds to purchase a new Command Trailer and Tow Vehicle. This vehicle is a critical part of every search effort – it houses the work stations, computers, wireless networking, wireless data, printers, radio communication systems along with providing storage for our various high technology tools utilized during searches.
The replacement Command System will be a new 2017 Ford F350 4×4 Diesel Pickup, outfitted with a shell/storage over the bed, winch, Code 3 lights and siren, as well as a new 16-foot long custom-built trailer. The trailer will be designed with multiple work stations, computers, communications, generator and shore power capability, heating and air conditioning, and interior/exterior lighting.
The total cost of this truck and trailer combination will be $100,000. Our goal is to raise at least 50% ($50,000) of this cost with this Capital Campaign.
This particular Capital Campaign is unique – for the first time in the Team’s history, we are offering Sponsorship opportunities. This is a rare, one time chance to have your business name, or the name of a loved one, permanently attached to the Command Trailer, as a financial supporter of this Command Trailer Project. Sponsorship opportunities range from “Platinum” – $5,000 minimum donation – down to the $100 Bronze level.
All donations, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated – and every dollar donated through this campaign will go directly towards the purchase costs. Other than the printing and postage costs, every aspect of this Capital Campaign has been designed and implemented at no cost to the Campaign by the Search and Rescue Team volunteers. Butte County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, Inc., is an IRS approved 501 (c) 3 Tax Exempt Organization, Tax ID No. 680424791.
Funds will be collected for this project until December 31st, 2017. Sometime after the first of the year, we anticipate taking delivery of the trailer, creating and placing the sponsorship graphics, and planning for a formal “Ribbon Cutting” to place the new equipment into service and to recognize the financial sponsors that helped make this dream a reality.
Please help our team make this dream a reality – so that we can continue to live our motto “So that Others May Live”. Click here to donate
